Wall House
Artist in residence
The artist-in-residence idea is based on the primary function of the building: residence. Artists who have a special relationship with designed space are invited to occupy the house for several months. The term ‘artists’ is applied in the broadest sense here to include writers, architects, academics, and others, although their work must be of an international quality.
Open to the public
The house will be open to the general public during the period that there is no artist in residence. Guided tours will also be organized.
Events
The Foundation will organize one or more events in the Wall House #2 each year. This may cover exhibitions or theatre, dance or music performances.
Knowledge development
Wall House #2 will become a location where information and knowledge of Hejduk’s work and the Wall House #2 are available. In addition, it will evolve to become a knowledge centre for designed space.
